Becoming a part of SMASC . . .
Guests are welcome at our club and are invited to visit the club four
times before applying for membership. Each visit that you work your dog is
$10.00. This includes an evaluation of your dog for Schutzhund.
Some things you will need to know for your first visit:
1. Because safety is a priority, your dog will need to be contained when not being trained. If you do
not have a crate, the club can provide a crate for you.
2. Bring food and a ball (or a favorite toy). Hot dogs are easy to eat and inexpensive treats for
training.
3. Make sure that you have a sturdy collar and leash. An inexpensive
nylon buckle collar (not the kind with a plastic clips that slide into each
other) and a sturdy nylon leash are perfect for your first visit.
